Kit Privacy Settings

When you create a Kit, or edit your Kit, you can decide whether it's secret, private or public. There's only 2 settings that you need to adjust.

A Secret Kit

If you are creating a Kit to be used for work that will have sensitive information in it, you can create a Secret Kit. No one will be able to find out the name of your Kit or join it unless you tell them.

How to create a Secret Kit:

  • Accessible by anyone? NO
  • Included in global search results? NO

A Private Kit

With a private Kit, anyone can request to be subscribed, but the creator of the Kit has to approve the requests before the Kit can be accessed.

How to create a private Kit:

  • Accessible by anyone? NO
  • Included in global search results? YES

A Public Kit

With a public Kit, you would not have to approve any subscribers. Anyone would be able to subscribe and access your Kit by searching for it on Witkit. This is useful if you want to create an open community on Witkit.

How to create a public Kit:

  • Accessible by anyone? YES
  • Included in global search results? YES
